Make Beats Not Beat Downs

Make Beats Not Beat Downs

If you want to learn how to make beats, there are a few things you need to know. Basically there are three parts to a beat. This article will go over the fundamentals of how to make a solid beat and then discuss some of your options when it comes to making the perfect beat quickly and without emptying your wallet in the process. The Bass Drum: To make beats effectively you need to include the bass drum. When you first start off, it is probably a good idea to incorporate the bass drum into your drum beat first. After you set the tempo and the measure (4/4, 3/4, 2/4 etc) you will want to add a bass drum to every other measure, or perhaps one on the second measure and then two on the fourth measure. So if we decided to do a 4/4 measure for the song we would start with a silence-beat-silence-beat,beat, repeating over and over (each measure is divided by the dashes). This will act as the backbone of your beat. The sneer drum: If you want to learn how to make beats, you will need to incorporate the sneer drum into your beat next. The sneer is the higher-pitched and very short and tight sound that usually accompanies the bass drum. If we continue with what we already did with the bass drum, in order to add the sneer you will want to make it hit when the bass drum is not hitting. So it might go something like this: sneer-silence-sneer-silence. Notice that there is no sneer sound when the bass drum is in a measure. The bass drum measure was silence-beat-silence-beat,beat. You might be able to hear the sound of the beat in your head if you have made beats before or are musically inclined. The hi-hat: The hi-hat brings the bass drum and the sneer drum together and is the most commonly used cymbal. It either gives you that tic-tic-tic-tic-tic sound or a splash sound like tis-tis-tis-tis and you can mix it up with tic-tis-tic-tis-tic-tis; well you get the idea. You can have a lot of fun with the hi-hat and might want to try different hi-hat combinations, but a solid way to go with this is to have a tic-tic-tic-tic repeat over and over again, or try a tis-tis-tis-tis repeat over and over again. To learn how to make beats, you need to get these three parts down first (the bass drum, the sneer drum and the hi-hat) and then move on to other sounds like china cymbals, ride cymbals and splash cymbals. The thing to remember is that if you understand how a bass drum, sneer drum and hi-hat work together, you will understand 99% of what it takes to make a beat. Every beat you have ever heard that you like, comes first and foremost from these three parts of the drum-set. All you need to do now is find the right software to make a beat fast and efficiently.Just remember that there are some great beat maker programs out there that are very inexpensive (around a piece) and will provide you with hours and hours of beat making enjoyment. Especially if you're interested in making hip hop beats, there are a ton of great beat makers so you can learn how to make a beat in no time at all.
